SMART (I think that's the brand name) Regulated Universal DC Adaptor
Model 270-8000
Input 12V DC
Output 6, 7, 9, 10, 10.5 V DC
Current 800mA Max
It comes with a variety of tips that store in a compartment in the adapter. It's kind of bulky, but since I only use it in my car that's okay.
If you look at the back of your Newton it says 7V, 0.45A Max, so this
adapter is perfect. I had trouble deciding which way to install the
tip to get the polarity correct. It has writing on the cable saying
"tip" and then "+" and "-" on the plug. I have it with the "+" lining
up with "tip" when the two are connected.
